To an optimist, a glass would be half full. To a pessimist it would appear half empty and to me… Well I would say the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
Perhaps this gives an insight into my personality but I thought I’d offer this page to dispel the idea that I’m not a ‘grumpy old man’ in appearance, even if I am in temperament!
My name is Ashley Bickerstaff and I’m a web developer based in the Midlands. And for those that look at Rand McNally on a map and think it would make a pleasant holiday destination, the Midlands is a region of England.
Outside of my profession, I enjoy outdoor pursuits including mountaineering and trekking as well as spending quality time with friends and family.
I’m a keen follower of current affairs, politics and technology. This coupled with my enjoyment of satire and social media has prompted my move into the blogging community. Feedback is welcomed but I would ask people to respect that blogging is a naturally subjective pastime and I don’t intend to deviate from that. In short, I have options and will voice them – take it with a pinch of salt!
